On December 5-6, 2023, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Teimuraz Janjalia, visited Ireland
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held with the Minister of State for European Affairs of Ireland, Peter Burke TD. The main topic of the meeting was the progress of implementation of the recommendations of the European Commission by Georgia and the positive conclusion of the European Commission regarding the granting of candidate status to Georgia.
A Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Georgia and Ireland was signed at the meeting
regarding the employment of family members of officially assigned employees.
